For those of you who missed it, we had the fine folks from 925 | Rebellion on this week’s Podcast. In it you can hear His Divine Shadow (John Crofts) and the Wookie (Alistair Eliot Wilson) talking about every South African geek’s wet dream, Sci-Fi Con 2015, which as far as I can tell is the first of its kind on these here shores.

Now we have just learned exactly what will be happening at said con, and we are gonna share all the juicy bits of info with you so that you can be prepared for all the Science Fiction goodness coming your way on 14 November.

At the time of writing, the Sci-Fi Con is 7 days away and if you haven’t picked up your tickets yet, you can do so by heading over to Web Tickets or alternatively if Web Tickets isn’t your bag, you can get them from Pick ‘n Pay. They will be R70.

If you’re wondering where Sci-Fi Con will be, wonder no more as we have learned that the con will be taking place at Midrand English School between 10am and 4:30pm. Tickets are unfortunately limited as space is limited (see the layout of the venue below).

There will be several exhibitors showing off their wares, including our good friends at The Dark Carnival (these are the geek memorabilia that you are look for – buy them now!), Sin Bin, Eye Voodoo, Powered by Fandom, GLOW, CwaZyLeigh Creations, Fairy Fountains (who makes some fantastic geeky 3D Printed creations – check them out!), The Virtual Space and more…

But what is a Con without some sort of entertainment schedule. As you’ve no doubt seen above in the map, there will be Robo Wars, but what if I told you that that wasn’t the only thing you should be looking forward to at Sci-Fi Con. Check out the full Agenda for the day below:

Expect tons of prizes and giveaways on the day, including this sweet Ewok Bow (Raffle is R30 per ticket):

We’ll also be there on the day, so if youw anna meet some of the guys from Geek Node, look for us!
