Geeks of all flavours ascended to the wet, chilly grounds of Monte Casino to celebrate this year’s Geekfest. Rain did not stop play as hundreds of enthusiasts browsed, shopped, and just generally consumed anything and everything, making the most of an otherwise ‘stay at home and drink milo’ type of weekend.
The team at Geek Node were on hand to provide a unique insight, and our resident video Jedi Khanival put together a hearty video package to immortalise the festival. Chris Jordan admires some of the striking cosplayers, lifts the veil on RoboWars and tag teams with me to try out a delightful Escape Room (think Saw without the bad writing and gore). I spend an unhealthy amount of time at the tent that Mario built, challenging child prodigies at Mario kart 8 deluxe (i.e getting beaten mercilessly) and generally gawking at Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Plut brings that designer stubble to the screen as he gets the interviews we were supposed to do but didn’t because we were having so much fun in the escape room!
Enjoy the package. Let us know which was your favourite segment in the comments section.
